You're right, thought that GPL2.0+ had been quoted from the source.
I obviously missed/ignored the very first paragraph in the original
mail. Don't mail without enough coffee :-|

I'd write then:
License: GPL-2.0
 This program is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify
 it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
 the Free Software Foundation, version 2 only of the License.
