Could you push your tags to the Alioth repository too? ("git push --tags".)
It doesn't get done automatically unfortunately and without the tags
git-buildpackage can't do its stuff.
Also, I realised I wasn't clear enough; when I said "Don't bother with the
generic name though", I meant the GenericName entry in the Ubuntu file; yours
was fine and the .desktop file would be better with it back in! Sorry...
Finally, if you'd like to maintain this in the Games team, you should change
the maintainer as follows:
Maintainer: Debian Games Team <pkg-games-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org>
and add yourself as an uploader:
Uploaders: Jordan Metzmeier <jmetzmeier01@gmail.com>
But that's really up to you.
If you don't mind pushing the tags, adding "GenericName=Joypad mapping" back
to the .desktop file, and (if necessary) updating the control file, I'll sign
and upload the package.
