Comments:

I tried to contact the current DM, and the maintainer'sponsor, via BTS
(see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=713211) and via
private email, with no answers, hence this try as a NMU.
I tried to keep my change as minimal as possible, hence the lintian
error and I am willing to adopt the package if debian-qa and the current
DM agrees to fix more packaging bugs.

  Changes since the last upload:

  * Non-maintainer upload.
  * Bump DEB_AUTO_UPDATE_AUTOMAKE to 1.14 (closes: #713211)
