are you still looking for a sponsor for postnews?

Indeed I am. Are you thinking of taking care of it?

Yes, I'd be happy to sponsor it for you.

Just reviewed.

Could you remove the boilerplate from the debian/watch file (you just need the URL and the version directive, but leave a new line at the end of the last line) and bump the debhelper version from 8 to 9?

I'll go ahead and upload after these changes. If you want the package to be perfect, you should address the two issues lintian found when running with lintian -i -E -I --pedantic postnews_0.5.3-4_amd64.changes, see the attached output of lintian.

Cheers,

Adrian

P: postnews source: source-contains-cvs-control-dir CVS
N:
N: The upstream source contains a CVS directory. It was most likely
N: included by accident since CVS directories usually don't belong in
N: releases. When packaging a CVS snapshot, export from CVS rather than use
N: a checkout. If an upstream release tarball contains CVS directories, you
N: usually should report this as a bug to upstream.
N:
N: Severity: pedantic, Certainty: certain
N:
N: Check: cruft, Type: source

I: postnews: extended-description-is-probably-too-short
N:
N: The extended description (the lines after the first line of the
N: "Description:" field) is only one or two lines long. The extended
N: description should provide a user with enough information to decide
N: whether they want to install this package, what it contains, and how it
N: compares to similar packages. One or two lines is normally not enough to
N: do this.
N:
N: Refer to Debian Developer's Reference section 6.2.1 (General guidelines
N: for package descriptions) and Debian Developer's Reference section 6.2.3
N: (The long description) for details.
N:
N: Severity: minor, Certainty: possible
N:
N: Check: description, Type: binary, udeb
