Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

 Dear mentors,

  I am looking for a sponsor for my package "bittwist"

 * Package name    : bittwist
   Version         : 2.0-1
   Upstream Author : Addy Yeow Chin Heng <ayeowch@gmail.com>
 * URL             : http://bittwist.sf.net
 * License         : GPL-2.0
   Section         : net

  It builds those binary packages:

    bittwist   - libpcap based Ethernet packet generator

  To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  http://mentors.debian.net/package/bittwist

  Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

    dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/b/bittwist/bittwist_2.0-1.dsc

  The package already exists on old-stable and stable.

  Changes since the last upload:

  * New upstream release
  * Added GCC hardening in Makefile.patch.
  * Migrations:
      - debian format from 1.0 to 3.0.
      - debhelper version from 7 to 8.
      - patch system from dpatch to quilt.
  * debian/control:
      - Changed tcpdump from Recommends to Suggests.
      - Updated Standards-Version from 3.8.4 to 3.9.4.
      - Updated long description.
      - Removed Vcs-Svn and Vcs-Browser fields.
  * debian/copyright: updated to new format.
  * debian/README.source: removed because is useless now.
  * debian/rules: updated to new (reduced) format.

  Regards,
   Joao Eriberto Mota Filho

Hi Eriberto,

considering the relatively long list of the packages, which you
maintain, I sponsored that without asking to fix some minor issues.

But for the future uploads, could you:

1) Use debhelper 9
2) Use VCS for package maintainance
3) Remove comments in debian/rules
4) Add --parallel option to dh (optionally).

Thank you,

Anton
