Packaging fuppes

Hello,

Bug#426048: Packaging FUPPES stopped and i would like to continue with it, but when trying to package with commands:
>git clone git://git.debian.org/collab-maint/fuppes.git
>cd fuppes/
>git branch upstream
>git-buildpackage --git-ignore-new

i get fine:
>git clone git://git.debian.org/collab-maint/fuppes.git
>Cloning into 'fuppes'...
>remote: Counting objects: 2170, done.
>remote: Compressing objects: 100% (470/470), done.
>remote: Total 2170 (delta 1670), reused 2170 (delta 1670)
>Receiving objects: 100% (2170/2170), 653.15 KiB | 612 KiB/s, done.
>Resolving deltas: 100% (1670/1670), done.

but last command goes with fatal error:
>git-buildpackage --git-ignore-new
>dh_testdir
>dh_testroot
>rm -f build-arch-stamp build-indep-stamp
># Add here commands to clean up after the build process.
>[ ! -f Makefile ] || /usr/bin/make distclean
>rm -f config.sub config.guess
>dh_clean
>fatal: Not a valid object name upstream/0.660

anyone can help me what should i read or do to pinpoint my issue. i use debian SID on my machine.

regards
Juris
