Ah, yes, that makes sense.

In the long run, I would be surprized if tzdata is the *only* common code
shared between a bunch of very similar packages.  I would expect Debian
administrative tools and setup scripts and the like to also be shared.
So maybe you're on the right track with this package after all, but it
needs to be named something more generic and aspire to being the package
that holds all that shared stuff between the MySQL packages.
