This drives people who sponsor off the list -- we therefore loose
people, not gain any.

I'd be happy to subscribe to the new list and help there, as others
are, I'm sure.

I'm all for keeping new bug messages going to mentors, but not every
control message.

Those who want it can subscribe to a new list :)
