RFS: git
Dear mentors,
I am looking to upload version 1:1.7.4~rc1-0.1 of the package "git".
I sent an RFS for ~rc0 eight days ago; this is just a followup.
It builds these binary packages:
git - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system
git-all - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (all subpacka
git-arch - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (arch interop
git-core - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (obsolete)
git-cvs - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (cvs interope
git-daemon-run - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (git-daemon s
git-doc - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (documentatio
git-email - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (email add-on
git-gui - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (GUI)
git-man - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (manual pages
git-svn - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (svn interope
gitk - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (revision tre
gitweb - fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (web interfac
The upload would fix these bugs: 499002, 507476, 524309, 540001, 576887,
577471, 578752, 581691, 583699, 585725, 588103, 598245, 600566, 600785, 606975,
607044
Warnings from lintian:
I: git source: missing-debian-source-format
I: git: conflicts-with-version git-core (<= 1:1.7.0.4-1)
I: git-man: spelling-error-in-manpage usr/share/man/man1/git-remote-ext.1.gz accessable accessible
The first is imho a lintian bug. The second is real but I have not
tested the change to Breaks thoroughly enough to be comfortable with
it. The third will be fixed upstream.
This is a non-maintainer upload to experimental to put the release
candidate in the hands of Debian users. Gerrit is still on vacation
so I am still relying on you.
The package can be found in the usual places:
- git://repo.or.cz/debian-git/jrn.git proposed-updates
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/git/git_1.7.4~rc1-0.1.dsc
If anyone finds time to look it over or try it out and send feedback,
I would be very happy.
Regards,
Jonathan
