That is correct. I also couldn't stand anymore the huge pile of ugly code
that XView is and I'm convinced that it's really time for it to die right
now instead of trying to keep it half-dead any longer ;-)

I think you can adopt the package and become its official maintainer, you
just need a Debian maintainer to sponsor the actual uploads. Given my
statement above, I think I'm not the perfect candidate for this, but if you
can't find anybody else willing to sponsor your uploads, get back to me
again and I'll see what I can do.
