"Fixing" source-contains-cvs-{conflict-copy,control-dir}

Hi all,
I'm adopting libnet (ITA #483710), and lintian -iI warns me about the two tags
in subject:

I: libnet source: source-contains-cvs-control-dir CVS
...
I: libnet source: source-contains-cvs-conflict-copy sample/.#icmp_unreach.c.1.2
...

I've always submitted clean packages to mentors.debian.net -- should I
repackage the original tarball or is that OK? Well, those are simple
I(nformative) tags, and that doesn't affect the binary packages, so I believe
it's OK if I leave all as it is now (mainly for the sake of simplicity)

Any opinion about this? Is there a consensus on how to behave? Is that a matter
of taste?

Kindly,
David
