You could spare some Depends in the ffmpegthumbnailer package (wdiff):
| Depends: [-libavcodec1d (>= 0.cvs20070307), libavformat1d (>= 0.cvs20070307), libavutil1d (>= 0.cvs20070307),-] libc6 (>= 2.7-1), libffmpegthumbnailer2 (>= 1.2.5), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1-21), [-libjpeg62, libogg0 (>= 1.0rc3), libpng12-0 (>= 1.2.13-4), libraw1394-8,-] libstdc++6 (>= [-4.2.1-4), libswscale1d (>= 0.cvs20070307), libtheora0 (>= 0.0.0.alpha7.dfsg-1.1), libvorbis0a (>= 1.1.2), libvorbisenc2 (>= 1.1.2)-] {+4.2.1-4)+}

You can check what happens with your current source package, and the
same with that additional line after other includes in debian/rules:
| DEB_CONFIGURE_EXTRA_FLAGS = LDFLAGS="-Wl,--as-needed -Wl,-z,defs"

(Check the build logs, and debdiff both binary .changes files.)
