I reviewed quickly and found some on your package.

- - Did you build a package on pbuilder or any test firm?
  I believe this package hits FTBFS.
  You have to modify rules file to use debian/xeji instead of
  debian/tmp (because you updated the policy-version).
- - postinst/preinst/prerm/preinst are no longer needed when they
  have only #DEBHELPER# line.
