Forgot to say, with the gpaco gui, you can easily create "binary packages" of
what you did install. They are simple .tar.gz archives, which you might untar in
/, and have a fully-functional software installed.
By the way, I've just sent the upstream author a mail, asking him for
differences between paco and checkinstall.
My main point is, however, about LFS systems. paco would definitely be a good
package in those cases.
