Actually, I had tried both. The (.) version is suggested by the uscan
man page. Interestingly the example listed there
http://tmrc.mit.edu/mirror/twisted/Twisted/(.)/Twisted-([.]*).tar.bz2
doesn't work either.
So now I'm wondering if this is a bug in uscan.
