Andreas,

Is the dependency on *Sun* Java (and hence inclusion in contrib)
necessary? I didn't have a very detailed look at the code, but there
didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary.

By the way, have you considered asking for sponsorship on the
debian-java mailing list (apologies if you have, and I've missed it).
