Indeed, it does. That's why I included the name "Apple" four times (at
least) in the long description of the package. I completely agree with
you here.

Actually, as people have already pointed out, there is, actually, a
specification of HFS+ and I *think* that it was based on them that Roman
Zippel (I hope that I spelt his name correctly) wrote the hfsplus module
to the Linux kernel.

Indeed, they have employees that are paid for the job and they obviously
want to provide the best HFS+ support as possible, since it's their
primary filesystem.
