Well, of course I will :) Debconf fails with something like "error 10 - no question found" (I had a german error message, so I don't know exactly what's the english error message). The code is quite simple like "db_get avelsieve/runconfig", templates are created and there's a config file (with db_set, db_input ...), too. The script seems to work (./postinst) but it doesn't when I try to install the package. It's a bit strange, I guess :) ask me more to find the problem or just have another look at it... In german I would say something like: I don't see the forest because of all the trees *gg *confused* Hauke
