Hi,
I would like to get some comments for packaging the next upstream
release of swftools.
This package is based on the latest development snapshot and should not
be uploaded to debian, but I would like to get some comments on the
packaging so that by the time the official 0.8.0 is released, I would
have the possible packaging issues solved.
Note, this version does not build on amd64 yet.
The swftools includes the xpdf, but unfortunately it does not build
with the libpoppler. I'm talking with the upstream and this will
hopefully change in the future.
The original tarball does not contain all the necessary m4 macros, so
currently it is not possible to run autotools at build time. I have run
the aclocal/autoconf and as a result there is a big patch for the
configure file. Technically it would be possible to run the autotools
at run time by taking the m4 macros from the upstream cvs and patching
them at build time before running the atuotools, but I'm not sure if
that is the best solution.
