Which is unnecessarily confusing use of the terminology.  Amaya is the one
doing the NMUs in this case; it happens that she is using patches prepared
by NMs in the process.  I don't think it's particularly appropriate to list
the NM as the "maintainer" in the changelog, either, as they are *not* the
party responsible for the upload (they can't be); though it's certainly
appropriate to credit them in the changelog.
