All of: lintian, linda, pbuilder, piuparts are happy with it.
I assigned the priority for x-cursor-theme to 49 for all but one
themes, setting one to 50.
Since I needed to repack .orig anyway (5 separate .tar.bz2 balls),
I removed the already built parts, leaving just the source -- the
source and ready-to-install pieces were stuffed in the packages
together. Per the usual rules, this repacking can be done with a
script: debian/makeorig -- it will download things from the upstream
("wget", "bzip2" and "file" required).
