Re: /etc is not in Debian Package

I have the debian/tdnewmsg.install and schanged the contents to

  __( '/usr/src/tdnewmsg-2.0.0/debian/tdnewmsg.install' )_____________
 /
| tdnewmsg	usr/bin
| tdnewmsg.conf	etc
 \____________________________________________________________________

removing the "/" at the end of teh directory and now it works.
I was thinking, it is no error if I use

tdnewmsg	usr/bin/
tdnewmsg.conf	etc/

which was working for 2usr/bin/" but not "etc/"
