Thanks, I think this is the closest that I've come to understanding
this issue :)

I would suggest to use this phrase instead of "compliment and
supplement" in the package description. IMHO "compliment and
suppliment" *sounds* too much like a sequence of buzzwords with no
actual meaning behind them, even if there is.
