RFS: avinfo
Hello,
I have created a debian package of AVInfo (1.0.a15), a very usefull utility that
extracts various information from multimedia files, such as MPEG or AVI, and generates
detailed (and fully configurable) reports. AVInfo is free software (GNU GPL).
I am looking for someone who will help this nice program to get into Debian.

The power of AVInfo is in A.S.S. (Avinfo Simple Script) built-in template language.
This language is the base of the report generation process. The program is shipped
with a number of pre-compiled templates, and the new ones can be added easily.
AVInfo is actively developed. It has been already ported to FreeBSD (avinfo-0.7.4)
and to Gentoo (avinfo-1.0.a15). Personally, I successfully compiled and used it on
several i386 boxes running Debian and Slackware. I have also compiled it under
Sparc Solaris.
AVInfo is a "must have" tool for anyone with a huge number of multimedia files on
her/his hard drives.
