Yes.

I'd suggest removing generated files in clean target. Either in
debian/rules or in Makefile (or Makefile.in, if used).

It would be perfect if upstream tarball didn't contain any generated
.gmo files and removes them in Makefile(.in). Consider discussing this
with upstream author(s).
