Another thing:
Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 4.1.16), xlibs-dev, dpatch
xlibs-dev is a pseudo-package today, use
Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 4.1.16), dpatch,libx11-dev, libxext-dev,libxpm-dev
and invoke ./configure with: --x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include
--x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib to make AC_PATH_X succeed without libxt.
