How do I get involved?

I have recently migrated a organisation I admin for from Red Hat
to Debian.  In the process I have had to modify a few packages,
and port a few others.  I am sure most are not interesting to
others for one reason or another, but 3 of them possibly are.

The packages I think others might find useful are:
  
  clit
  conspy
  kernel-patch-linuxabi

I am happy to be the package maintainer for these packages.
How do I go about heading down that path?  You can find the
