Looks like the sort of thing I need at work (Solaris, Linux and WinXP
all authenticating via ldap)
but
Unpacking ldap-account-manager (from ldap-account-manager_0.3-1_all.deb)
...
Setting up ldap-account-manager (0.3-1) ...
chown: failed to get attributes of `/etc/ldap-account-manager/lam.conf':
No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing ldap-account-manager (--install):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
ldap-account-manager
Hmm, something is not right there
dpkg -c ldap-account-manager_0.3-1_all.deb | grep etc
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2003-08-30 19:20:43 ./etc/
drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2003-08-30 19:20:49 ./etc/ldap-account-manager/
-rw-r--r-- root/root 118 2003-08-30 19:20:49 ./etc/ldap-account-manager/config.cfg
-rw-r--r-- root/root 187 2003-08-30 19:20:49 ./etc/ldap-account-manager/apache.conf
lrwxrwxrwx root/root 0 2003-08-30 19:20:43 ./usr/share/ldap-account-manager/config/config.cfg -> /etc/ldap-account-manager/config.cfg
looking at the postinst, either lam.conf is missing or its apache.conf
In addition, you have session data stored in /usr/share as well as
dynamic configuration files, these need to be moved to /var
Running it, it looks ok. For some reason it does not see any of our ldap
users (except me) and it thinks i have no password. Creating new users
works ok, I suspect it is looking for an objectclass of inetorgperson
which most of our accounts do not use.
