shared libraries compiled with g++ 2.95 in testing

This might be slightly off-topic, but it does have to do with the
building of my package.

When (if ever) are the C++ libraries in testing ever going to be
updated (as in, compiled with g++ 3x). Right now I'm having problems
making sure my package Quat builds correctly, because it uses a C++
UI that links against libfltk1.1, which is a C++ library.

It seems that g++ 3.2 is the new default compiler for testing (as
evidenced by the recent update of the dependencies for the dummy package
"gcc"). Is there going to be a time when all the C++ libraries are going
to be recompiled, or should I just test-build it with g++ 2.95 (or
compile libfltk and the related libs myself in a seperate place and
have Quat link against them instead)?

Thanks,
Morgon
