Download and install the current potato devscripts. It should work
fine on a slink system, except that you will need to modify your
/etc/manpath.config to include /usr/share/man if you want to read the
manpages.
Then you can run
debsign -r [username@]remotemachine build/foobar/foobar_1.3_alpha.changes
