If they're going to use digit placement like this, so that the next
version is likely to be called chrony-1.11 or something, you could
always number this version as 1.10 for Debian purposes, placing a note
in appropriate places.
It might be worth pointing this problem out to the upstream authors,
suggesting that if the `2' in 1.02 is like a patch level, then 1.0.2
would be much better, for then it is obvious that 1.1.0 comes after
1.0.2, both to a person and a machine.
