Wow, this was an interesting one to chase; in fact, the shared library
was built without a SONAME, and this caused lintian to think this was *not*
a shared library.
I'll file a bug report against lintian so that it reports files in
/usr/lib/*.so* with ELF in their `file` but no SONAME as probably
buggy.
