December is bug squashing month
Hi folks,
you remember the good practice of the bug squashing advent calendar
which was once started by Thorsten Alteholz. (Those who do not know the
classical advent calendar might have a look here[1].) The goal is to
close one bug per day to clean up out bugs until the end of the year as
much as possible.
To record your closed bug you might like to send some mail to our
mailing list (or summarise the bugs you closed in a weekly mail).
Alternatively you can also send a posting to our Matrix channel[2].
I'd like to invite everybody to do join our advent calendar bug
squashing party. Its fun ... and if you need help to fix some bug just
raise your question on Matrix or here on the list.
For those who want to squash bugs I recommend the following
resources:
1. Classical BTS:
https://bugs.debian.org/debian-med-packaging@lists.alioth.debian.org
Please note that at the end is a list of "Forwarded bugs" which also
might need fixing.
2. Maintainer dashboard
https://udd.debian.org/dmd/?email1=debian-med-packaging%40lists.alioth.debian.org&email2=&email3=&packages=&ignpackages=&format=html#todo
It also notes testing migration is an issue we want to fix and caring
for this is also worth mentioning here in a posting.
3. Blends pages
Bugs:
https://blends.debian.org/med/bugs/
Testing migration and autopkgtest issues
https://blends.debian.org/med/qa/
Any contribution to increase the quality of our packages is really
welcome. As promised earlier I will join this effort despite my
DPL-"vacation" from Debian Med team.
Thanks in advance for your contributions
Andreas.
