Thanks for this, this was on my table for quite sometime :-)
FYI, I'm wrapping up a note on the brian package, which FTBFS on
various architectures including ppc64el, mipsel and mips64el. I
found a way enable riscv64 so am confident it might be possible
to get it to run on officially supported architectures as well,
but I lack the architecture ports experience to tell for sure.
