I think I can deal with it now thanks to Pierre's patch and hint.
Having a look, I indeed got gbp build failure due to removal of cleanup step: find testdata -iname "*.bai" -exec rm {} \;
gbp was by the way not happy for file not being present....
regarding other test failure with data provider error, there are already several tests removed with patch 30-tests-fix-dataprovider.patch , this is common issue at each release.....
