Creating ITP bugs semi-automatically

Hi,

if you want to create new packages its easier to send an ITP bug **AFTER** doing the packaging.

Than you can use the script:

    https://salsa.debian.org/r-pkg-team/dh-r/blob/master/scripts/itp_from_debian_dir

(it was written for r-pkg team but works for every team).

It is not actually filing the bug but its printing all necessary information in your terminal.
You then call

     reportbug --no-query-bts wnpp

add a **random** string for package name (I use "12") same for desription.

Than you are asked for "Additional addresses you want to CC" - use the **first line** of the output of the script
Then the editor will fire up.
You remove everything and copy-n-paste all the other output of the script starting from "Subject: ..."

Attention: Please make *very* sure that your text starts with "Subject"
as very first string on the very first line (if not you get a broken
Subject of your bug report (been there, done that).

Hope this helps

      Andreas.
