Htsjdk is indeed quite a pain to upgrade, releases frenquently breaks rdepends... And picard tools releases usually match specific version of htsjdk.

Would be nice to test all rdepends.

Though, would should be our strategy if rdepends do not work anymore?
Or should each htsjdk be a package htsjdk-X, matching each new version... Avoiding breaks, but each rdepends should update their htsjdk version dependency (test if works with latest version or not)

Could be discussed at sprint..
