These packages are not featuring tests as defined in the Debian
Continuous Integration effort[1] which is actually the topic of the GSoC
project.  Since you were asking for tasks you could do as preparation
for the GSoC project:  Writing a test for the packages I mentioned
(which do not have these) would be such a task.  Please reread the
according thread on the mailing list where I explained this to the other
candidated (please excuse my brewity, I'm currently a bit busy with real
life ;-)).

That's the point:  There is no debian/tests directory - we just need to
create one.
