Dear list, I am the current maintainer/developer of ProbABEL [1], a tool for efficiently running of genome-wide association studies (GWAS). I'd like to package this for debian-med. At the moment I already have ProbABEL packaged for Ubuntu in the GenABEL ppa [2], but it probably need some polishing before getting adopted in Debian. Andreas Tille kindly added my Alioth account to the debian-med group and pointed me to the policy document, which I'll read before asking more about where to start the packaging for Debian. In the future I may also have time to package other tools from the GenABEL suite [3]. I noticed that our main R package GenABEL has already been packaged (r-cran-genabel). Thanks for that! This will serve as a great starting point for packaging the other R packages in the GenABEL suite. Best regards, Lennart Karssen.
