Data Licensing

Hi all,

I'm working on a new module of FreeMedForms based on data taken from the SFMG (French General Medicine Society). My code will be GPLv3 or may be LGPLv2.1. I've questioned the leaders of the SFMG about the licensing of their data. Typically, they never had any discussion about this. They think that their data are 'public domain with the obligation to publicly mention the SFMG'.

I told them that they need to go deep into this problematic if they want me to push code and data to the Debian repos with the sponsoring of the Debian Med team (if accepted by you of course). So they asked me to resume some of the available licenses compatible with the DFSG for their data.

Can you help me please. I need some good references to read (already started a google request ;) ).

Thanks a lot
Eric, freemedforms.com
