Make sure that your "real" baby has always higher priority than Debian.

Well, I have some experience which fields have to be set and how to
check in policy compliant with *SVN*. So if you are fine with SVN I'd
volunteer to do the work for you. You should just decide whether you
prefer to maintain it in the Debian Science or Debian Med scope. IMHO
both is fine in principle, bt I would tend to put it into science
because it is a more general library (if I'm not missleaded).
Considering that it is usefull in biology as well as in other sciences
it fits better in Debian Science (but you might correct me if I'm
wrong).

So my offer is the following: Put the package into Debian Science SVN
use Debien Science Team as Maintainer and add you (and me in case I'll
do the first upload as Uploaders). Just tell me if this is fine for
you.

Kind regards

      Andreas.
