Without having had a look into the packaging: Is there any chance to
build a separate libclustalw from this source that would also work
together with Mauve?

PS: Aaron, did you recived my question for releasing the current
    snapshot of libGenome as a point release?  If you do not like
    this idea just tell me and I will find another solution to
    proceed with Mauve packaging.
