You could always start translating de_DE :) I'm working on /locales.php. It already has a "statistics" section, which is taken reading <lang>/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po. And yes, the language list in that page is dynamic. Now I have to make actual localization dynamic, *lol*. I'm also creating a form to upload a messages.po into the right location. You could start translating from the link I gave you in some email (on list), and then upload it from the form I'm going to create.
