I think David intended to write "stable" which is in fact the distribution
that is running on Alioth. David also named the "right" way to go to
parse Packages.gz of unstable. BTW, that rises the idea that it might
be intersting to mention the versions available in stable / testing / unstable.
David, this information is also available in the package tracking system
and perhaps it is easier to obtain from there directly or using the same
code they use.
