I just never tried it because I have no Mac and non-free is just
not autobuilded (please not again this discussion - I just tried
it so often).  So yes, try it and if it works I might build
it on one of the public Mac build machines.  I would be
happy if you would try to verify the issue that was reported under

that might occure on 64 bit machines.
