Hello All,
I wrote to you late last year about an article I and a colleague were
writing for submission to Linux User and Developer about getting started
with bioinformatics on a Linux platform. The article was accepted, and
much to my surprise, is already out!
I just wandered down to the local bookstore today and was quite taken
aback to see that issue 46 was there and the article "The Bioinformatics
Playground" is now in print.
So - this is a rather late-in-the-day email to let you know that the
article is out there. The editor rearranged it a bit in terms of how it
is ordered, but most of the information and content is as I wrote it, so
I hope you won't find any factual errors.
I also hope you don't mind the open CC list on this email. As I culled
all your email addresses from the web somewhere, I assumed you would not
mind being openly cc'd on an email to other developers involved in
bioinformatics.
