   I have been thinking about the different implementations of drug
references especially after learning of drugref.org. Does anyone know
if CorbaMed or HL7 has canonized a drug information object?

   If we wrap the drug information up with a Corba layer then perhaps
the information will have more use and/or one could swap in/out the
various backends.

P.S. I checked HL7's and CorbaMed's website and saw a few references
     to pharmaceuticals but they seem aimed at prescriptions (2 mg
     q.a.d of oxycotin, etc) and not at the drug itself (available as
     time released tablet, etc in 1 mg units, etc).
