The only part of the Dicom Files that is compressed is the "Pixel Data".
The Patient's Name, ID, Study Information, Series Information and any other
information that can be used to "identify" the patient isn't compressed
(At least this is what the DICOM Standard defines). So, if the pixel
data doesn't contain information that can be used to identify the patient, 
you should be capable of anonymizing the images without knownledge about 
the compression.
