Medical Words / Possible Drug Listing - Invitation and Announcement

Hi,

I'm currently studying a text entitled "The Language of Medicine", 6th
Edition by Davi-Ellen Chabner. It's a wonderful book and is a
"write-in" book, sort of like a workbook. It even comes with a CD-ROM
that tests the user with the words. If anyone is interested in
learning more about medical words, I highly suggest it.

Anyway, as I was going through it, I thought it would be nice just to
start putting the words into a text file, which I have begun doing.
I'm of the inclination that this may be valuable for future
applications.

So, I set up a project at sourceforge:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/medicalwords

If anyone is interested in helping me type words in, let me know and I
shall mark you as a developer allowing you to update the CVS
repository.

It does not seem out-of-scope to also allow a general listing of
medications for use by future applications as well.

The whole thing is Public Domain which means no direct copying is
allowed from the text itself, although words and general definitions
are okay. This also means that the only inclusions allowed must be
typed in by hand (no OCR).

So if anyone is interested in contributing, let me know - even if it's
just 5 minutes once a week or so. The project has a discussion board
and if anyone has any input into the design of the words, please feel
free to post them there.

Kind regards, Elizabeth
