Bug#971783: Any news ?
Hi Mike, there is a workarround to auto restart the mate-volume-control-status-icon when it suddenly stops:
$ systemctl --user edit app-mate\\x2dvolume\\x2dcontrol\\x2dstatus\\x2dicon-autostart.service
Add between commented lines:
[Service]
Restart=always
$ systemctl --user daemon-reload
$ systemctl --user restart app-mate\\x2dvolume\\x2dcontrol\\x2dstatus\\x2dicon-autostart.service
Max.
